 ‘The road map to Democratic Eritrea’ he summarizes political activities during the British Military Administration and mentions that the Tigray-Tigrinya party tried to form a state that united the Tigrinya speakers in Eritrea and Ethiopia; what he calls the ‘Barka separation movement’ wanted to unite Barka region with Kassala, What he calls the ‘Sahel separation movement’ wanted to unite Sahel with Port Sudan. He claims that the British strategy was to erase Eritrea from the world map. He states that ‘Mahber Fikri hager’ wanted the whole of Eritrea to be part of Ethiopia. He further noes that ‘Al Rabita al Islamia’ wanted the whole of Eritrea to be under British Administration for few years and later to be independent. For all the above reasons he states that Eritrea could not be an independent country then. End of translated quote

He fails to mention that Eritrea did not become an independent country because and only because of the ‘Unionist Party’ with its slogan ‘Ethiopia or death’ and who used all forms of violence with the support of Ethiopia to achieve their goals. All others, had formed the Independence Bloc and called for immediate independence. He does not even mention the Party, ‘Mahber Andenet’ whose father was one of its main architects. He rather attributes the unity goal to ‘Mahber Fikri Hager’ which was a gathering of Eritrean intellectuals who met to discuss the future of the country. When the Unionists high jacked it, it split. The Unionists formed the ‘Mahber Andenet’ and the rest the ‘Islamic League’.

There was neither a party by the name of ‘Barka Movement’, nor ‘Sahel Movement’. It is true that in due course of time, the ‘Muslin League’ which called for independence split into three, the main one , the ‘Muslim League of the Western lowlands’ that called for unity of western Eritrea with Eastern Sudan and the ‘Muslim League of Massawa’ which called for British trusteeship before independence. It is true that the Liberal Progressive Party started as a Tigray-Tigrinya Party, but later stood for independence. The main actors at that time were the ‘Muslim League’ and the ‘Unity Party with Ethiopia’. At a later stage, all the parties besides the ‘Unionist Party’ formed the Independence Bloc and we lost being an independent country, then, because of 'Mahber Andnet'

ኣብ መዋእል ምሕደራ ብሪጣንያ፡ ሰልፊ ትግራይ-ትግሪንዪን ተቕሲማውያን ሰልፍታትን ካብ ኤርትራዊ ውህደት ክናገፉ ይጽዕሩ ነበሩ። ሰልፊ ትግራይ/ትግሪንዪ ንተዛረብቲ ትግርንያ ዝጠቓልል ደውላን መንግስትን ክተክል ይጽዕር ነበረ። ምንቅስቓስ ተቕሲም ባርካ ምስ ከሰላ ክጽንበር፣ ምንቃቓስ ተቕሲም ሳሕል ድማ ምስ ፖርትሱዳን ክጽንበር ይህቅን ነበረ። ስትራተጊ ብርጣንያ እምበኣር ንመሰል ርእሰወሳነ ኤርትራ ካብ ገጽ ካርታ ዓለም ምድምሳስ ነበረ። ማሕበር ፍቕሪ ሃገር፡ ኤርትራ ክይተሸራረፈትን ከይተፈናጨለትን ምስ ኢትዮጵይ ክትሓብር ኣለዋ ዝብል መስመር ነበሮ። ራቢጣ እስላሚያ፡ ኤርትራ ከም ዘላቶ ንውሱን ዓመታት ኣብ ትሕቲ ሞግዚትነት ብሪጣንያ ድሕሪ ምጽናሕ ነጻነታ ክትረክብ ዝብል መስመር ነበሮ። በዞም ዝተጠቕሱ ምኽንያታት፡ ኤርትራ ኣብ ካርታ ዓለም ቦታ ክህልዋ ተኻእለ። መሬታ ከይተመቕለን ክይተሸራረፈን ብምጽንሓ ድማ ፈዴራልዊ ፍታሕ ይበየናላ ደኣ እምበር ኤርትራ መሬታ ውሁድ ኰነ። ብረታዊ ቃልሲ እውን ንውህደት ኤርትራ ዓቀበን፡ ንነጻነትን ልኡላውነትን እውን ኣረጋገጸ።
