هذه صورة من المؤتمر الأول للإتحاد العام لعمال إرتريا الذي عقد في المنطقة بين عليت وهواشايت في عام 1977 ويظهر في الصورة في الصف الاول المناضل المرحوم صالح قلاتي من فرع القضارف وهو عضو مؤتمر اما البقية هم من المراقبين وفي نفس الصف استاذ محمود محمد علي خلف قلاتي يجلس المرحوم الشهيد عثمان حمداي من قيادة الإتحاد العام للفلاحين وبعده المناضل احمد محمد سعيد ويظهر في الخلف المناضل ضوحين بملابس شعبيه وبجواره المناضل ولد سلاسي عقبي وبجانبه المرحوم احمد عيسي . والواقف هو المناضل ابراهيم قدم.
This picture is from the first congress of the General Union of Eritrean Workers affiliated to the ELF. It was held in a place between Aliet and Hawashait in 1977. Some of the persons we identified in the first raw are: The late Saleh Gelati who was a member of the Congress from Gedarif, others were observers. With Gelati is Ustaz Mahmoud Mohamed Ali. In the second raw sits martyr Osman Humedai from the leadership of the General Union of Eritrea Peasants, next to him is Ahmed Mohamed Saed. At the back, veteran Dohein wearing traditional clothes and next to him is Woldesellasie Ogbe and the late Ahmed Issa. The one standing is Ibrahim Gedem.
