Skin color and Racism
When it comes to skin color, we have learned it the hard way that there is much racism in Israel as there is in the Arab world. The racism against African asylum seekers in Israel is much more difficult to understand as the jews were subjected to much atrocities, but Israel is unable to respect the rights of Palestinians, let alone others. In a way, we also practise racism in our own country, we look down upon peolple who have a darker complexion than ours. There has been large scale slavery from Africa in the past centuries. But the worst form of racism today, we find in Africa; where people are killed in mass simply because they belong to other tribes. Hutu vs. Tusts, Dinka vs. Nuer ... and otherwise. Those are people who lived together all their lives. Why do they become brutal to each other at present? We need to reflect on ourselves before we blame others.
