To think broadly, to be more inclusive & more human

To think broadly, to be more inclusive & more human

If we really care about our locality, our region, ethnicity or religion as Eritreans (those are components that define our identity, our beauty, our diversity) we need to think collectively in a bigger collective entity called Eritrea; because if that entity is in trouble, all the values we care about will be in trouble, too. If any one of those entities are oppressed or undermined, we can not be collectively free. Whether we are born into a particular ethnic group, born in a particular region or born into a Muslim or Christian family, nothing makes us special than the rest. We need not forget that we all human beings (let alone as Eritreans) and genetically speaking, as human beings whether from Africa, Europe or Asia or elsewhere, we share 99.9 % of the same genetic code, only 0.1 % of our genetic make up differs. So why do we feel so obssessed with our ethnicity, region or religion?
