المحكمة اللأسلامية في مصوع من اقدم المحاكم في المنطقة: تأريخ حافل لا تجده في صفحات الهقدف
فى مقال:ألأوقاف و منح الملكية و  رجال الأعمال المهاجرين العرب والسلطة الحضرية في مصوع: ١٨٦٠ - ١٨٨٠ : تقدم يوم واحد في عام 1942، فرد ورفع دعوى ضد اللجنة المحلية للأوقاف الإسلامية في مصوع في انها فشلت للتأكد من الملكية التى وهبت إلى أسرته من جد بعيد.  وادعي ان قرىبه جاء من بلده فرسان في اليمن إلى مصوع في 1349 ميلادي (750 الهجرة) وقد استقر في الميناء وأنشأ مسجد الذي قال أنه وهب اربعىن من المباني للأوقاف ، ما تبقى من مقتنياته  اعتمدها وقفأ لذريته، وانه قريبه و حاول طوال السنوات الأربعين الماضية للحصول على اعتراف الملكية. حول القاضي في مصوع القضية إلى المفتي إبراهيم المختار الذي رفض الدعوى استناداً إلى 
عدم وجود أدلة كافىه بالقرابه

One day in 1942, an individual approached the Islamic Court of Massawa and sued the local wagf committee that it has failed to ascertain the property endowed to his family from a distant forefather.  He claimed his ancestor came from the town of Farsan in Yemen to Massشwa in 1349 A.D. (750 Higra), had settled in the port and established a mosque to which he endowed forty buildings, the remaining of his holdings was passed as Wagf to his offspring, including the present claimant who attempted for the last forty years to gain recognition of the property. The Qadi of Massawa passed the case to Mufti Ibrahim  Al Mukhtar who rejected the claim based on the lack of evidence of the claimant to the ancestor:
