Nefae wed Utman نفع ود عتمان من قلب ነፋዕ ወድ ዕትማን from Geleb, an early promising Eritrean intellectual who helped the German scholar, Enno Littman author several volumes on the Tigrait (tigre) language (that is how its speakers refer to it) including a volume on Tigrait fine poetry from the Mensae area. He was Born in 1882, studied in a missionary school and travelled to the west in 1907. Boarded a ship to Massawa from Napoli in 1909, but never made it home, probably eliminated by Italian racists on board.
