On the ELF

When I post some rare pictures from the ELF era or write short notes about it; it is not because I am obsessed with it or with the past. It is not also meant to say the ELF was a saint or to undermine the EPLF or to scratch old wounds. It is simply because the EPLF/PFDJ has monopolized the source of information for long. It has since the 1980s tried among other things, to delete our political-history memory and replace it with a twisted version that claim the ELF was just a monster. This has been taught in history schools and Sawa. Several additional neutral or EPLF fighters’ testimonies the last few years have proven this to be otherwise. At least the ELF takes pride that it was not a one-man show. So the aim is just to shed some light on that missing link in our history so that our youth are also better informed: There is no single story and we need to hear all aspects of it. As we struggle to unite our forces and reclaim back our country, we learn a lot from our past history
